Glued to the door pillar i take it??
Reinforced with some aluminium bracketry or threadded rod..?
I could glue it to the normal a-pannel seam of my flip front assuming i lowered the hinges so it swung away from the doors straight away rather than sweeping over them?..
Hmm..
Would the seam behind original pannel need to be seam-welded to bring back strength removed? or arent they structual?

Excuse me, but what's the point of these? You need to fit all sorts of bracketry to make them fit, so there's no weight saving. On top of this it will look like you've bought some checquered vinyl at Halfords...

Mine gets in the way a bit, but only when it is up. If it is down it does not cause a problem.

Chavs..

They're intended to be bonded on instead of the steel ones, the a-panels aren't structural, so structural problems aren't really an issue.

As for weight, they weigh around 90-100g a piece. i'd have to add some serious bracketry for them not to be a weight saving, which is what they're intended for.

Mine will be painted

chavs indeed...

Waay good looking!
So you can buy a carbon flipfront, carbon a-pannels, carbon doors, carbon arches and bumpers. a carbon roof with a carbon bootlid and floor.
It seems soo wastefull when people have to then paint it, blatently ahve to go round telling everyone which bits are carbon if its your car..

sorted the mounting flange issue, they fit a treat, and are unbelievably stiff

ready for bonding properly with a bit of epoxy and then a paint
