R5 Gt has 8 valves and eight ports.. somebody correct me if I am wrong?

1400 or 1500 cc , again?

As pointed out there are T3's and T3's with different ARs and Trims..

Gosh this kid should has been around 12 years ago when myself and Miniwilliams started turbo'in Minis, maybe we would have learnt something!!

maybe i dont know about ar`s and trim but i dint build the renault but its there and suppsidly a t3 of a mety turbo on it

i dont know what funny your on about but this renault is kicking out more than 200bhp and the car was built as a project if you dont believe me get in touch with them yourselves

My mate badassadrian has an R5 with a bitching head and kent cam and one badass cooler, it doubled the power on the same boost so hcmini1989 is right.

Hey HC - Fair play to you. The engine sold what it sold for, and two folks wanted to pay over 780 quid.

I'm sure it is the extras included that saw to this price:


fuel pressure reg, new fuel pump, alternator (recond), new dizzy and coil costing £200, new boost guage, bleed valve, new head, new dumpvalve, new oil cooler, all fuel lines



Look, we're all just having fun / pulling your leg - admittedly at your expense, but maybe more at someone who believes an intercooler and bleed valve will make 250hp.

Don't take anythign too seriously... :)

ive found a mini in one of the old mini magsine wich is kicking out 300bhp think thats still on t3 i

Just to Clarify I had a R5 Gordini it a T" it was Stock it made 110hp it was a 1397cc 8V single cam cross flow head

just a mile up the road from me a fello has a Renault 5 Maxi Turbo which makes a tad less than 400hp with a highly modified version of the original 1397 cc Renault 5 engine which happens to be where the back seats ust to be it runs a very highly moded T3 it was an Ex irish Rally champion car I am almost certain the care sold last year for well in excess of 30K.

thankyou the one in college isnt as high spec as that but deffinatly got a t3 from a metty turbo on it.

i think the one in the college had a t3 from a metty turbo on it...anbody else getting that vibe or is it just me? not sure why i think that though!


oh and r5 Maxi turbo yum yum.

That's miniwilliams, he posts here a lot. Could speak to him about what intercooler he used. lol
