Thanks for all the advice and tips. Got the engine out of the metro was a piece of piss once i split the ball joints

Well done but apologies from me....

I hadn't realised it was a Metro... there is much more room to swing the engine side to side in a Metro than a Mini.

Having said that, I'd have still split the ball joints - I did when I pulled my scrap MG Metro apart just because I'm so used to doing it with the Minis.....

I tried doing it yesterday without spliting them with no joy, must have been close tho. Once the baljoints where split it was simple
