true, but whatever anyone could say to me still would not convince me it was a genuine figure,

i'm sure the fella's down there are genuine enough folk but as an eternal sceptic, i beleive nothing i'm told without hard evidence, because there's some competition history withing this company still does not cut ice .

i'm sure they are modest enough not to have acctually shouted there claims from the rooftops, but if you make a claim it needs hard backup,

i hold the record for the fastest accelerating A seies mini, and i have hard backup proof, ,lol.
i own the quickest turbo mini in the world and i can prove it, lol
it madce 220 hp on Emeralds rollers, and i can prove it ,

it has recently acheived a 120mph plus terminal on the drag strip, and i can prove it, something no other front wheel mini has ever acheived no matter what engine type is used,

it is also painted Almond Green , and i can prove it,

it would be good if you could get them to show us dyno results along with results of other cars to reference to,

some strong words there, lets be fair 205 brake is a huge amount of power for a N/A A series even KAD with all there experience iirc did not get these figures, on top of that all RR are different and results depend on to many different factors

it does sound like a interesting project however

i am surprised at the low(ish) torque there considering(assuming) the boost levels

TD is right in respect of rod length/stroke ratios - stock A series running at 9000rpm have piston speeds in excess of curent F1 engines - truth not bullshit! The only way round it is big bore tiny stroke - like modern motorbikes. The Hayabusa will turn 180 bhp from its 1300cc at 11000+ rpm when tweaked its the only way to make the power

I'd like to see the motor and curves though!

If Carling made Mini engines
it would probably be like this one!

Indded,

When I looked at A series piston speeds and G loadings i was suprised to say the least.

I knew this would happen

Only my 3rd post aswell (its friendly on here)

As I said before I KNOW NOTHING ABOUT K TWIN CAMHEADS

I posted the guys phone number for "Those interested in finding out"

I'm just re-telling a STORY I had been told at work. I dont know if I have all the FACTS correct.

I thought it might be useful to those building/developing their K headed engines, some of you have taken it as I'm stating it is fact and I know better.

I DON'T (as I said)

Wolfie? Strong words?????? If some have taken this as strong words its not meant in that context. It was meant that if someone were to contact them and find out, mabe we can all learn something. Mabe he can supply a dyno sheet as carl said.

I'm not here to look a twat I'm here to learn, that's why I don't post.
Rant over.
No offence intended to anyone!

Turbocox - don't take any offense by what people are saying - people get passionate about numbers! I think it' s an interesting thread and very impressed if they have generated the ponies at that level!

nice car by the way

yeah, TC - we weren't having a go at you - if you take a look around you'll like the place I'm sure. The thing is (as you have realised) there are folks here who've done enough, and engineers to question the maths, to simply suggest that the figures are optimistically / unachievable... This is worth more than some other forums where folks will simply bend over and kiss whoever makes a claim of outlandish HP.

This is another reason why we call HP 'bananas' - ie this engine makes 205bananas, and 120 curly-wurlies (torque) - it is merely a recognition of the variability of RR's and results - and is well accepted - here at least.

I see the limiting factor of the K heads being the valves. These heads are comparable with the small valve KAD heads, but the all out race engines KAD build use the bigger valves and get the big numbers on the dyno.

Some one is keeping something quiet some where.

Im sure many of us with K head are wondering where these 'large' valves have come from?

// what they said, no one has made a personal attack so i dont see how you can say the forum is not friendly regardless of your post count, most on here have been round the block when it comes to high performance a series (carls been round the block three times *happy* ) so i am not sure why you are not expecting people to pick up on something thats clearly optomistic, lets be fair if you had gone to most other forums and stated the same i expect you would have either had your arsed kissed or been verbally abused and neither has happened here
