It was a combination of the wrong plugs (k100 plugs not K1100 or K1200) and that two injectors were sticking. In fact, after dry running the injectors quite a bit they seemed to come alive, but when run on the fuel rail with pressure, one injector just didnt shut off and poured fuel out, with the injectors off. These were suposedly cleaned and tested, Not! Fitted a couple of spare injectors I happened to have :) tested those and were far better, fitted the correct plugs and it fired on all four, all be it a bit rich, and a blowing manifold, but it runs. He just needs to get it set up correctly and dyno'd.

It has been an interesting but un necisary excersise *oh well*

turboestate pretty much hit the nail on the head :) And James_H was a close second *wink*

Thanks for the ideas chaps.

So when some joey comes on here about how his 16v turbo vauxhall is great compared to ours, he can be given the 'bird'...

to be fair the injectors may have been cleaned. Several of the injector cleaners state that they advice that the injectors should be used not long after cleaning, or else they will stick due to the nature of the cleaning medium. This happened to me when I had the MPI injectors on the shelf for a few months, I had to tap them with a screw driver to make them come alive, only one squirted in the beginning.

Was about to suggest new plugs as it sounded like you were blowing the spark out.

Glad you got it sorted.
