Don't forget that I'm still building the K100 headed 980 turbo for my wife's car.

I'm going to get MED to finish the block work later this year.

At least fit some 5/16UNFs in there instead of metric ones. M8 bolts are shit to have anywhere on your Mini. They WILL find their way elsewhere.

I thought you at least would be wise enough to realise that there is something wrong when the bolt goes tight on only three or four threads.

I can see the difference just by looking at them. thread pitch is noticebly different

When I got my manifolds from Mirage Richard very kindly send me some 5/16 k-nuts to fix the manifold to the head and some M8 k-nuts for the turbo, I spent a good half an hour swearing before I figured it out.

Finished all of the machining work on the block this morning for the undercrown cooling jets.

Needs a clean up then we can start building the engine.

I've bent the jets to point at the piston crown but we may need to bend them a bit more to clear the gudgeon pin boss in the piston.

The little ball is still moving, so I'm assuming that it is OK. I just spot it with the mig to minimise the heat.

I tigged mine and cooked the fuck out of them....

then realised they ALL hit the rods, so i had to cook the fuck out of them again.

just meant the springs have gone weak in mine though.

Instead of the GT1752 we are now using the GT2056, it seems to be more efficient at the boost levels we wish to run in the future.
