There wont be much in it if i go with a turbo'd engine, i just figured its there if my plans change and the extra space is always handy.

Woo finally seeing some progress.

This morning started of with a drive to dsn classics to pick up a pair of alloy door skins they got in specially for me, a windscreen and a load of seals:

Have fitted one skin and have to say i'm extremely impressed with them, considering there only £27 each and non genuine, they fit perfectly and only weigh 1.5kgs.

Door frame with bonding agent applied:

Skin fitted and edges crimped round, and a couple of pop rivets at the top:

Very impressed with the fit of these:

Then this evening I've been to meet up with Dave Kimberley (TDK Racing) to pick up the first of the fibreglass bits.

Set of miglia arches:

Battery box:

And my favourite the roof skin:

She's a crazy cat, always the centre of everything going on, she was laying on it for a good 1/4 of an hour too.

Yeah its amazing how much motivation it gives you when you start to see things coming on.

Looking good.

What did you use to stick the door skins on? Is it just panel seal or something special for the alloy? I use panel seal last time and they are still attached.

Yeah just a generic high strength sealant, its a cheap rip off of silkaflex, but works just as well.

Question: How much of your roof did you leave attached to bond on the FG one?
Also what did you stick it on with? You make it sound too easy !!!!

Theres about 1.5" round the back and sides, and about 3" at the front. Its not stuck on yet its just resting there, will be using some stuff similar to silkaflex.

Yeah i was really impressed with them, there a fantastic fit, and a bargain price of £27 each from DSN classics, you can get them direct from the supplier (www.magnumcarpanels.co.uk) a little cheaper but you have to collect.

I went this route as your hear nothing but bad stories about f/g doors.

Haven't weighed them yet, still gonna trim a bit more of the insides away i think.

All of the switches, fues box and cut off switch came from a local Durite supplier. All of the cabling from vehicle wiring products.

Just been and picked up a seat. Kirkey 36 series, weighing in at 7.0kg's with the cover, scope for lightening further too i think.

Its been a bitch of a job but is quite satisfying seeing it come together from a pile of tubes.

Would you mind telling me what all the switches are for? I am planing my new dash and I just want to make sure I'm not forgetting anything.
