I'll pay you to take them off me *happy*

This "Evolution Studio 2" is my youngest lad.

We've made a bit more progress over the weekend.

Finally got all the welding finished this morning.

New rear inner wings and valance.

I had a near death experience when the petrol soaked rag sitting next to the petrol can that I had just filled after removing the petrol tank caught light *surprised*

Luckily i was wearing welding glovers so grabbed the burning rag and slung it out the door in a roaring ball of flames. It left a trail of burning pieces of rag along the floor, so off I went stamping on the remnants.

My heart nearly stopped when I picked up the petrol can and found that it had started to melt.

Another lesson learnt *happy*

I've long since been in the habit of having a bucket of water nearby whenever I weld (not that water is a particularly good idea for a petrol fire, but it deals with most other welding "incidents"). I also have a dry powder extinguisher in the garage all the time, whether welding or not....

Nice to see a proper flowmeter attached to your regulator rather than just the graduated scale on the big adjuster.....

Schrödinger's cat - so which one am I ???

I usually have a helper on fire duty with a fine mist water bottle spray, but the lazy little sod is still in bed.

Actually, it interesting how little gas you need to produce a good weld.

I've got it set at 1.0 LPM/ 2 CFM and getting a fine weld.

Finally got it back on its wheels so that it can come of the lift and go in the other barn for the bodywork.

Now we can get Sturgeo's Racing flame on the lift for some TLC before we sell it.

I'm hoping that the youngest can get some time off from the girlfriend to prepare it for spraying.

I hope some weight in it drops the back end. That's the trouble with new cones.
