Do what I have done in the past - attach an engine/chain hoist to your beams/joists and then put a substantial timber prop either side of the car under the same joist, as close to the car as you can. This means that the bending stress is only on a short length,and the load is being taken by the props, not the roof. Dont blame me if the roof does cave in ! |
