So when some joey comes on here about how his 16v turbo vauxhall is great compared to ours, he can be given the 'bird'...

Make sure you get the mech gloves the right size. I dont consider my self to have small hands, but the medium i find give the best fit for dexterity, a little tight to start with but once worn a little they are fine. the tips of my fingers touch the tips on the glove as do the webs of the finger, touch the webs of the glove.

If you dont get that bit right theres no point, as you will be taking them off all the time to do the fiddly bits

dermatitus is very nasty , and it can spread all over ive seen photos in health and safety leaflets ,if your hands sweat in gloves try barrier creams and after work creams ,remember to reapply after washing hands between work , alot of times it spreads by putting oily hands in pockets and seaping through the material , try barrier creams with tea tree oil or alo vera in them .

It looks very like a Laytex reaction you need to look at every thing you are coming in contact with and elimnate them one by one untill you find the "reactor" it does not look like dermatitus.

edit: also anyone of you lads that have these on you knuckles cover them with plasters, I got an infection trough a blister on a nuckle it travled over night into the bone and as a result I have arthritis in 3 of my four fingers on my right hand and let me tell you in the cold that hurts

I find the easiest way is to super glue the bolt to the end of one of my fingers.

Mine never spreads to my Gonad area anyways. So i dont think its dermatitus.

It does tent to happen on areas of high friction (<---start the jokes here) Like on my index finger where i have been turning nut and bolts.

dermatitis is closely linked with mineral oils being in contact with the skin. since most parts of a mini use mineral based lubricants it could well be this. I ahve to wear gloves all the time at work now because of this problem and it has cured it as far as i can tell
