to save starting a new thread thort id review this one as im now having the same prob as before.

i never did manage to cure this problem, but needed to rebuild.

so after full rebuild and rebuilt turbo drove the car to the MOT station today just about! and pulled up outside, the chap walks out and says ' thats missing that is' so opened the bonnet and removed leads off cylinder 3 and 4, pitch of engine did not change....just like beforte but now it is on the other 2 cylinders!!
checked everthing AGAIN.
by using some electrical cleaning spray, i found that it was leaking around the left hand inlet.

could this possibly be the cause as its sucking to much air in and weakening the mixture enough to stop it firing??

sounds likely dude, that was doing it before wasn't it?

did you get the manifolds faced to make sure they were flat and the same thickness?

no i didnt nick just cleaned them up and fitted new gasket.

its happening on other 2 cylinders now tho thats what i dnt get!! re booked mot for 2mora 2, no chance dnt think!!!!
