Yep rough as a badgers snatch! I like it.

It's very much like the van cooler than a polar bear's bollocks!

Still plenty of welding to do....

Theres a nice big hole under the exhaust tunnel and one of the back arches looks like it needs tubbing...

Passenger side inner arch

and matching inner sill

Drivers inner arch

Drivers rear arch

and the transmision tunnel.

Could be worse *oh well*

At least I've found the locking wheel nut key now. *happy*

I drank too much Cobra last night so I didn't get much done today....

I've set myself a dead line of 1st April to have it MOTed so I can get it taxed for the full month. So I'll need to get my finger out and get some welding done!

My welding is shit today, but the back arch doesn't have holes in it any more.

This is why you don't fit over sills:

The rust from the old sill just rots though the new one.

I'm finding out just how bad this shell really is. It's future restoration will be chalenging and expensive *Yes*

Extra Ventilation! BL think of everything!

That kind of explains the rusty cruntching noise when you open the drivers door...

More bodgery to come...

I went out to the garage for an hour to weld on the final patch to the driver's side sill, then bolt it back together and get it back on it's wheels.....

Then this happened:

So I poked it with the grinder for a little while

Then I moved it around the garage floor

Then I did a piss poor job of welding a repair panel on....

I guess I'll finish it off another day, can't be bothered with it any more today! *oh well*

EDIT: Then my day got worse!

On Saterday I fitted a new speedo (ordomiter didn't work and the insurance where whinging...), got the dash back in and the vent pipes fitted. Then I got it high enough so I could get to the bits I was trying to weld.

Then Minimadmotorman showed up and it was beer o'clock *happy*

Yesterday, I got the drivers floor pan welded up properly.

Then I had a go at welding up the transmision tunnel. It went well untill I put some preasure on an old repair...

I've been out tonight and made a good start on the passenger side arch.

Much happier now, hopefully I'll get the arch finished tomorrow...

My welding's got a little better too. :)

hard to tell, but try getting the area much cleaner, this should help your welding.

Thanks for the advice. It's really hard to get the underneath clean, theres loads of underseal to get rid of.

Thanks. Hoping to get it back on the road next week. Ready to terrorise the mean streets of Toy Town. *Clapping*

Then at the end of the summer it will be up for sale *frown* Too much rot for me to restore...

I managed to get a couple of hours in the garage on Friday and got all the welding done.

Found another hole in the passenger side sill area, but not as bad as the other side.

Then yesterday I got the interior refitted and cleaned.

All that's left now is a quick bit of sanding, touch the paint up and refit the backbox and rear bumper. Then it's the dreaded MOT. *oh well*

Well...

The paint's touched up.
The brakes are adjusted.
The exhaust doesn't blow anymore.
The tyres are blown up.
There's oil in the engine (as well as under it).
All the lights work.
And the MOT is tomorow! *surprised*
