Im using one similar to the link above. One part mounted to the body in the engine bay the other attached to the front.

ok sorry this is a little late but ive just down loaded the pics off the camera.

seems to be holdong up spray wise. i always cover the inside of towbar plugs with grease to stop the water getting on the wires

no longer a series, but still 1.3 turbo.

I used a towbar connector, but mounted 2 realys to my headlight bowls for dip and high beam and have a serpate large live going to the starter and a seperate large earth, as my previous towbar connecotr wiring burnt out. ( used to do alot of night driving) teh current draw from headlights can really mess up conecotrs if ther enot 100%.

Tim, i like the look of those sureseal ones, but the biggest i can find is 4 way, how are you going to wire yours or are you going to use 2?

Dennis, like the idea of that, but connecting up lots of different cables everytime i take the front on and off sounds like a pain in the arse (im a lazy git)

although, for a quick coupling for a big live and earth, one of those anderson plugs might be a good idea:

would this work ok?

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Amphenol-8A-250V-7-P...=item2304be0cfc

says its capable of 8A @ 250V, so will that be more or less at 12V?

On full beam, what sort of Amps will a 60W and 100W bulb draw?

(im feeling dim tonight)
