Putting in that last engine mount bolt OS rear (I always leave it 'til last). I find it not too difficult these days, but it's taken years of practice to train my hand to do it. And I have small hands.

Shimming the diff and ball joints bore me.

Re exhaust clamp. On my car I can clamp pipe to elbow and offer the whole lot up at once, because I have a short front pipe and a bolt up connection to the rest of the system, under the car.

prepping for a re-spray - no matter how much work you put into it, there is always a bit more you could do

The roll pin that secures the gear selector to the selector shaft, taken me 6 engine changes to get the hang of it.

+1 on the roll pin!

If something is worth doing, it's worth doing half of.

Buy yourself a welder and get some scrap, then look at

all it takes is practice

Really? The first time I ever took the engine out of mine, i figured it out in about 10 minutes and got the pin out in about 2 minutes *happy*

for me,it all lied in the selection of a correct punch. not a selection of nails, screwdrivers and general crap lying in the garage.

Get a decent punch and its easy.

Done loads rescently and they never seam to come out smoothly. I've got a good punch/screw driver that is a nice fit, but they always seem to be seized....

I find the easiest way is to super glue the bolt to the end of one of my fingers.
