My old carsl ast and best engine was 1310cc with 8.5:1 CR and never ran more than 21 psi...

That developed plenty of poke.

Don't forget handling on the track, it does come into the whole equasion!

The highest power ive got recorded with the GT17 is 145bhp @ 10psi but I couldn't run any more down to clutch slip (started slipping at 8psi).
They should be able to flow enough air for a 260bhp engine. Im running mine at 20psi when my clutch is sorted and hope for over 200bhp.
Robert has got to be running 180bhp+ with his gt17 setup worth checking out his thread titled 'gt17'.

The T3 is a good starting point, but if you have to buy one specially for the build you may aswell go for something a little better suited to the engine size.
