Im still sticking with choke seals. Would explein the over fueling and poor running. If its heat related its got to be something expanding e.g. valves going tight in guides or valves clearances tightening up or fueling. A cold engine will run on a very rich mixture where as a hot engine won't.

Didn't Nic have a similar problem that turned out to be a sticking valve?

It could easily be a coil problem, I have had troubles like these with coils in the past.

the one for the rover and ford are different. So mines the rover one, its simple enought to change. Maybe after a few other bits though. if it is that after all still waiting on a coil pack! "Cars are a lifetime of pain" |

I've just thought of something else i did when i put it back on the road, about 10 miles ago, I put a bottle of millers cvl in, probably only about 10 liters of fuel in there? would this be a factor?

Ok little update, i played around with this on saturday and have come to the conclusion, i still don't know what it is. It now seems to have a steady misfire on tick over, not sure if its still doing the other symptons when hot, but i'm sure the two are related.

In a turbo as you know heat is a real issue if your leads are old then start there. Cheapest option first. Own the day
