I think that ours dosen't bind because we run a little -ve camber. This helps out the top ball joint a little. Mind you it has to get pretty low before they do bind.

I got over it by making a new subframe that puts the top and bottom arms 1" higher than a standard subframe

OK, this is a 5 year old design, but didnt know if it would work so never fitted it. The Don has proved it does work





Its made from T45 CDS and saved 10 kg over my severely lightened standard subframe.
The 3 main reasons for it are;
1, Its stiffer to stop the front of the car accellerating quicker than the rest.
2, Top balljoint angle is improved.
3, Top arm design should help to stop some of the rearward weight transfer.

I looked at doing the same, but modifing an existing subframe. I haven't done it though.
