NOt supposed to tow on a rope in the UK either mate

Besides the fuel pressure won't raise with the boost then as you won't have the regulator connected. Have you blocked the float chamber venting pipe off & also checked to see that the fuel pressure is rising under boost ? |

Good one! if the float chamber vent valve is leaking it will have the same effect as the balance pipe leaking. You even mention boost and the engine coughs and dies. Own the day
