I think it will help with the temps.....slightly.... but IMO the charge cooler is too small and on the wrong side.

From what ive read of the Supercharged set-ups they run very hot! so unless there is a large water capacity and a good rad in proper air flow, the coolant is going to heat up very quickly under sustained boost and then be very ineffective.

I think your original idea is better Jurguen. But i think i you would need more surface area for the cooling.

then you have to think about getting the set-up underneath the charger set-up.

I would have thought someone could make some very good money from this if they developed an efficient system.

I really want to supercharge a road going project, but i think i would have to start with a different charger. One that is more efficient at higher boost. Also make it blow through.

I think i might do it on my next daily drive car. Which isnt looking to be a mini.

Yes James.... it will decrease slightly! I'm currently using a good water rad, high capacity pump and an electric fan (obviously with higher capacity than the engine fan) to help me with the temps in sustained boost. I have also the bonnet open in the rear to help the air flow through....

Now I'm going to start enjoying the thousand's of euros invested here (jeezzz if my wife knows......), but the idea of cooling the air/gas from the charger it's not dead.

I think that for some guys there will be a downside in this rout, because the bonnet will surely be open in the back.

I will have to think in questions like the flow and what happens when the air passes through the "cooler", and get an small rad to use (I think this will be the dificult part).

I'm open to ideas!!

just an edit:

Regarding to small rads I've thinked in the small rads used in computer water cooling:

but I really don't know how they will behave with de SC boost! *oh well*

Another add on:

this one is for a EATON used on a GM american truck.

This is my idea. Nothing new, but I think that will be far more better than the one on the top of the SC.

Yes, the F150 lightning / cobra charge cooler is where you need to be concentrating for ideas.
