If insurance companies gave away their money we would all be paying more for our policies. It is annoying when you are being honest though.

4 months on a payout for a stolen car.. i think that was taking the piss. Surely if its all valid then they should be giving out what the policy is for.

They all have you over a barrel.. insurance is a legal requirement, you don’t have much of an option to shop around as most are owned by 3 or 4 big companies so they can get away with treating you shit, knowing that you will be back giving them your cash sooner or later.

In conclusion i hate insurance companies. Sorry for the off topic rant.

The last accident I had I had the ladies car picked up and taken to my friends accident repair firm from crash to back outside her door in under a week. Total cost to me was £600

Now if that had gone through my insurance the cumulative cost would have been far greater.

The time you will be thankfull for insurance is when you physicaly injure someone.

don't forget the cost of a courtesy car - when mine was smashed up, as I was not at fault an nice company provided me with a 'similar' spec car for the 3 weeks I waited for the repair - total cost for that alone was over £1,500 to the other insurer.

similar issue with the old man - he ended up with a 5 series for 6 weeks which must have out-weighed the value of his omega when it was hit

Insurance companies need to wakeup and see what they are paying for as all they are doing is passing it down to us in our premiums

and don't get me started on injury claims!
