Q: "that aint the same engine that one is now fitted into my mini this is a spare one that i got because my brother put a vtec in his mini so he left it here for me to sell as he has moved to the isle of wight ...." Why is this engine number the same as the one you won previously? 05-May-09
A: WHAT DO YOU THINK THAT EVERY SINGLE MINI ENGINE HAD A DIFFERENT ENGINE NUMBER
Q: Thought about a poke at this as a spare but looking at the auction where you bought it from puts me off somewhat. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vie...em=330312449180 Did the original owner find some documentation saying what mileage it had done? 05-May-09
A: that aint the same engine that one is now fitted into my mini this is a spare one that i got because my brother put a vtec in his mini so he left it here for me to sell as he has moved to the isle of wight i rang the original owner and no answer at the moment
Q: Why did you do this! That's going to take hours to clean off! 05-May-09
A: What do you mean why did i do this what dont you like the colour it is easily painted over in a colour of your choice its not that blue in real life its the HD camera that i used made it looks shockingly blue and it is proper high temperature paint. the paint is a rare original BMC blue.

I've also asked him.

Dear 9244billy,

If its not the same engine its a coincidence that it happens to have the exact same engine number.
Also you bought some nice rare blue paint.

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vie...em=380114723060

and had the reply

Dear minimadmotorman,

well you are not bidding so why dont you just sod off cause you either are a little boy who has got into your dads computer or your a complete loser i dont have to explain my self to you its how it is so good bye

and just to rub salt in the wound

Dear 9244billy,

Actually i'm a big boy who's got onto his girlfriends computer and who likes to wind twunts up like you who try to take people for a ride.

Have a nice evening.
Lots of love

I asked him if the engine was painted or if it fell into the blue paint.

His reply

a MASSIVE SHEEP FELL IN PAINT RUN PAST THE ENGINE COVERED THE FRONT THEN A GOAT CHASED IT IN THE OTHER DIRECTIONS AND IT PAINTED THE OTHER SIDE AND THE SHEEP WAS THINKING WHY DID I BOTHER TO ASK THAT QUESTIONS?

Although I simply reported him to ebay (quoting the scrap engine and paint) which will achieve nothing, you really have to feel sorry for the sucker who is currently bidding £112 for previously declared scrap.

OK, it's blue scrap, but still scrap.....

Right, I sent this, doubt I'll get a response but at least if eBay check my emails against my report it will make sense...

"I'm a bit confused about your latest answer to the question about engine numbers as they actually are all different.

So if this is the scrap engine you bought a few weeks ago, how is it now a "genuine 32k miles" ???

Did you just swap the identification serial number plate from a scrap engine to a good one ???"

Horndean - Near Portsmouth

I've sent him this one:

"Hi, very interested but i have a few questions as i've only just got my first car (mini).

Did you paint inside the engine with the paint aswell? I asked my grandad what he thought about your engine as he knows alot about minis. I dont know if it would be a problem, but he said if there is paint on the pistons? or camshaft? they might not work properly.

I was going to paint the bits inside the engine myself if i win the engine but i cant decide what colour, if you've already painted them blue i would leave them blue as its very nice!

Is it a good engine?

Thanks

Micheal Shoemaker"

I asked him a question and his reply was that it was the same engine as an earlier auction and that he had done a leak down test and replaced the headgasket and that it was a fantastic engine. He also said he reckoned he could magic up some paperwork to provide evidence the engine had only done the stated mileage but suprise suprise that wouldnt be untill after the end of the auction.........what a cock, im also going to report it to the bay now!

That is amazing..

The knobber even painted the rocker cover gasket.

But some muppet will be well happy with their "32.000" mile engine.
