fook me, those ends were a bargin!

the earth cable looks like it could be a little weedy, you wint one wit a wire about 8mm diam ideally. still should be ok to get it runnning, just keep an eye on it for getting hot while cranking.

Hmm thats the problemo I was gonna try jumping it off my daily, I swore we had some more jump leads but cant find the shits.

Might give it a go with that little strap for the time being.

And yeah I was so relieved at the cost of the fixings, they even chopped it and fitted them for me!

Oooki doki.

I just mentioned it in my build thread but thought id say here as its still "help needed" ha.

The engine spins really well when jumping from my daily drive.

The engine seemed to fire twice, but didnt start. I turned the ignition off then my fuel pump.

Tried cranking again but it only turned over a few times really slowly, the bores had filled with petrol so now thats all out and im drying the plugs.

Now the other day when i was testing my fuel pump, (which is just off a switch, not a relay or anything), i noticed it was filling the plenum with motion lotion. I did a search on here as I remembered reading about someone having fuel in their plenum, eventually diagnosed as overfuelling.

I'm hoping it's overfuelled and started filling the plenum, any ideas how long I should prime the pump for before cranking the engine? If I primed it so it filled the float enough for the engine to start, then once its running i turned it on would that be ok?

I mentioned it to Nic the other day, he reckons it could be a split diagphram in the FPR or the needle valve stuck open.

Hmmm just checked and the diagphram is all in one piece.

Might have something to do with the carb then, will take it off tomorrow and have a look - annoying!!
