Nice job Tom as always, so will this be quicker than MOP?

I was also thinking that it may make the MOP feel a bit shite in comparison

I don't think it will be quicker than the MOP, MOP is lighter, and also is nearing completion of the throttle bodies conversion, however we will see.

Awesome! I have a massive thing for 205's at the moment.

Shame the mini is taking all of my money!

Great work.

Are you saying 205's give you the horn?

So when some joey comes on here about how his 16v turbo vauxhall is great compared to ours, he can be given the 'bird'...

Thanks for everyones comments, I guess we are all critical of our own cars, but I look at the picture of that one and see all the pin dents in the doors, and the other bits and bobs I know aren't right with it, so its nice to see that at least some of you think it looks OK!

Its certainly reasonable for now considering it hasn't been mapped yet, I've done 150 miles and one oil and filter change in it since last Thursday night, I'm hoping to get it on the rolling road this week if all goes to plan. I've a driveshaft to change first, sods law but its one of the few parts I used that wasn't rebuilt or replaced, bloody ebay pirates and their "used but good" parts......

The PTS rims are nice, unfortunately super rare over here and so you pay the price!

It now has on a set of 1900 wheels, mainly to clear the brakes, but also as I like them much more.

Love it Tom. Since buying a 106 GTi as a cheap and cheerful daily runaround, I've discovered how good small french cars are. I quite fancy doing a turbo conversion on the 106 at some point, but the Mini comes first.

Fab, if you do come across some then please let me know.

Well the moment of truth, rolling road today, thanks first to Carl for coming with me. Basically managed to get the use of some rollers, but meant me doing the mapping, eek!

Anyway, the numbers are

182 bananas at the wheels, 195 bananas at the flywheel, and 278 curly wurlys (metric ones) at the flywheel.

Woo hoo!

Thats a lot of bananas! I have to say that I am starting to really appreciate the idea of turbo charging something that is a better base project than an mini. No wonky gearbox, more scope with clutch upgrades etc.
