bad news.

due to being offered the chance to race a historic formula ford this season, a decision about the mini project had to be made:

1. build the car knowing that i won't be keeping it for very long (no chance i can run 2 race cars, so i know the mini would be sat there doing nothing).

2. sell up

i have decided to sell up. my main reason is that i can't justify building the car and not being able to use it to it's full potential before i sell it.

a quick run down of the parts i have for this build is below. i will do a for sale thread when i have more time on my hands - probably easter. turbominis members will get first chance to all parts before they hit ebay.

1380cc short motor
0miles, never built into a full engine. omega forged pistons (can't remember the CC off the top of my head), lightened & balanced everything, centre main strap, wedged & reground crank. i have receipt. was built by Red Line Racing if i remember rightly.

Jack Knight straight cut box
brand new, never used, have receipt for £1k. unsure of ratios at the moment. straight cut drops included. fitted with 4-pin diff at the moment.

Benross Racing Turbo Unleaded Head
never built up, still in packaging. fully ported 28cc in the chambers, 35.7 race inlet valves, 29.5mm race exhaust valves, manganise bronse bullet guides, 180 pound double race springs usefull revs up till 8000rpm.

T3 Turbo & Benross manifold & Benross ported exhaust elbow
Garret T3 turbo, possibly hybrid, not sure. Benross manifold - work of art, knife edged, ported & polished to match cylinder head. Benross elbow - again, work of art, ported massively over standard.

1989 Mini shell
brand new genuine front inner wings with a-panels, full scuttle & interior cross-member fitted. Strengthened around rack mounts and other weaker points. Bulkhead box fitted to make room for turbo. Rear arches full tubbed. Mk1 rear light plates fitted. Battery box removed. Front end removed (full inner wings still in place). shell in paint (tahiti blue with white roof).

Force Racing 10x7" 3-piece split rims
anodised black centres. brand new, never seen a tyre or a car.

Ian Curley carbon dash & door cards
as above. dash is switchpod type. both still in packaging. door cards have all standard cutouts (i.e. window winder, door lock & grab handle).

Other bits include:
lowered gaz shocks, adjustable tie rods (think they're rose jointed), adjustable bottom arms (think they're rose jointed too), rear adjustable camber plates

minisport ally 4pots in red, with non-vented discs (can easy convert to vented discs, but i was told it's totally overkill on a mini)

minisport roller tip rockers. can't remember what ratio, but it says on the box, will know when i dig them out

loads of polybushes & solid ally mounts

cheers,
Ali :(

How much are you after for the door cards and do you have any photos?

All parts will be listed for sale in the correct section when i have more time on my hands to sort the lot out & take pictures etc.

Above is a rough list of some of the parts i have for this build (you'll notice that i never mentioned what parts i would be using elsewhere).

cheers,
Ali.

Please let me know what solid mounts you have available, I would like to solid mount my front subframe.

Also do you have solid ally bushes for the rear subframe heel board mounting? I'm making mine into a rear beam, if you do that would be ideal, as I am considering making/getting some made.
