He is a child. Isn't he 23??

Thor killed him on one stage, but I still feel a bit gutted about him being penalized even if he was an arse. It would have been a better win for Hushovd if he had still received his points on the "obstructing sprint".

Yea was a good tour!

I work in a bike shop (evans cycles) and a fella at are place use-to ride for GB spent about 5 years living with Cav and the GB boys, and he hates Cav's guts! Says he is immature and a cocky twat! i thing he is just jealous as Cav made it and the didn't. Cav talks about him in his book and there is a cuppla picks of him and Bradley and a few others. He says Brad is a much nicer guy.

But well don't to them both, did us proud

Got to say that the guys & girls in your Bristol store have been fantastic helping me with my current build.

I'm building up an Il Pompino (yes, I know what that translates to) for commuting & general training over the winter. However unlike a lot of cheap and cheerful SS road bikes, I'm trying to build one that can take the abuse of being ridden hard day in day out, in all weather, without needing to be rebuilt every few weeks. Also it's being heavily influenced by my XC routes so as road bikes go it'll be a bit of a porker but the rider bike combination should be well under 160lbs so I'm not too worried. Hopefully I'll ride it to Combe although there's a killer hill on the A420.

Boring holiday pics:

18th Stage of the Tour was a 40km time trial around Lake Annecy.

Selecting a suitable vantage point for the following day:

If you want to win the 40km time trial, what do you do? A full 40km warm up lap! This is Alberto Contador:

Just for Vegard, that bloody Viking, Hushovd.

A view often seen by Hushovd. The arse of Cavendish!

Time for a tea break:

Bradley Wiggins on form:

The face of a man on a mission:

That was actually quite startling to see in the flesh.

The majestic Contador, who won the stage and the race:

We then travelled on 200 miles or so to Le Mont Ventoux for the 20th stage. A mountain that just rises about a mile high out of the surrounding countrside. Simply stunning and a staggering climb.

A little bit of road painting:

The main group which includes Armstrong, Wiggins, Contador and the Schleck brothers.

And then it was all over. The whole field passed in around 8 minutes. So it was back to the village to watch the finish at the summit on TV at a bar.

Went over a little bridge on the way home:

Got back today, 2090 miles and need a holiday!

Unloaded the Motorhome yesterday and found 93 bottles of wine, plus loads of beer and cider.

That'll do nicely!

Off we go again.

The last couple of days have been fantastic racing. Check out ITV4. Yesterday the Sky team did well.

Ferry is booked and we plan to be on the Col de Tourmalet for stages 16 & 17 in a couple of weeks.

I have been watching too. First few stages have been great. Good to see a couple of brits doing well. Especially as one is Welsh.

Cav could not respond to Petachi today. He's obviously not on form.

Hushovd also got beat well on the last 100m.

That other bloody viking, Bosan Hagen did well though. We'll have to be happy with that as he is riding for Team GB.

This has been one of the most exciting starts to a Tour for a while. I am off out there this year. Driving down to Marseille and then riding up to Paris to watch the last stage. Riding up Mont Ventoux and Alpe D'Huez also, which is scaring me as i have not trained much (too much bloody work)...

Awesome. Respect. Those climbs are about the most difficult in the world.

Cav has just shown them all how to do it! Let's hope this is the start of his return to form.

They are going into the Alps on Saturday. Hopefuly we will see Wiggins progress through the order. Be good to still have him in contention when I get to the Pyrenees.

Ha Ha. Is that really you V?

I'm sat in the motorhome just outside Grenoble preparing to attempt to get a parking space on Alpe D'Huez tomorrow ready for Friday's stage. Snow is a distinct possibility at the top.

Great performances from Norway's EBH and Hushovd so far. Ultimate respect for Hushovd for transfering from sprinter to all-rounder.

I'm told that EBH won again today. Good job seeing as he rides for Team GB :)

Evans did well but the man has no style.

About Time Andy Schleck won. That's three years in a row that he has come second.

The boy <<Le Cav>> did well.

We really enjyed the tour this year. I watched 6 stages in all, 4 in Brittany/Normandy and two in the Alps. Great event.

We are now in Provence eating and drinking too much. Going to head down to the Med to put my knotted hanky on my head, roll up my trousers and dip my toe in :)

Might be back in time to get the Mig ready for MitP.

I feel that Cav has grown up a bit I like him better now.
I wanted Andy to win at first, but he's such a whiney git. Oh no, the descents are so steep....It's the same for everyone....
As long as Cunt odeur didn't win, I'm happy.

Off we go again.

No Andy Schelck or Contador this year makes Wiggins the favourite. Evans is the main threat bu to-date this year his form has not ben so good.

Packing Motorhome tomorrow, ferry Friday and a week in Begium and Picardie - can't wait :) :) :)
