I think the idea of staged turbos is a good one. There are a few production cars that have them, Legacy Gt for 1, and a Golf had a staged SC and Turbo.

Ahh, yes. The other reason to need more than one turbo is if you have such a big fucking engine that no single turbo will supply enough air. Case in point above Robert.

It's only an LS1, the use of that many turbos is just for a laugh and not needed at all. On 7th Nov, 2008 Nic said:

When it is relatively easy to size a single turbo to give useable boost from 3000 to 7000 rpm, then what is the point of multiple turbos?
