Ian, do your self a favour and don't use an antique turbo like t3, the new GT series turbo are miles ahead
+1
If you are trying to build a tractable car a modern quick spooling turbo would be miles better.

If something is worth doing, it's worth doing half of.

Gary, no track day stuff as I prefer going round corners to straight line stuff,
As you probably know I used to race circuit and have good times I think castkle combe was quickest lap 109.9 secs to win my class, years ago mind

I raced in Special saloons in my Cooper S but with a short stroke 1297 lump in from 1975 to 1981 then Metro's then MG Metro's then Metro Turbo's then in a Honda in 1988/9 Guest driver for Hoda UK did the 24 hour race at Snetterton in a Civic, have driven F3, Formula Fords, Sterling Moss's old MGB at the GP circuit Silverstone on a track day event, 1990
last raced Miglia's in 1996.

Just looking to have some fun.

I also started/wrote the rules for the BRSCC modified Saloon car series in 1980/1

my old car and engine still survive,

To build a short stroke engine like mine these days would cost me in excess of 10k today
Oh it was 1 min 09.9 for Combe

I should have one in a few weeks when the van's engine is torn down.
