its a poor show, surely these parts arent "fit for purpose intended" now?

King Gaycharger, butt plug dealer, Sheldon Cooper and a BAC but generally a niceish fella if you dont mind a northerner

Rotherham, South Yorkshire

looks like the new old stock option offers better value for money even at 2 or 3 times the price of the modern tat.

All rubber parts are shite these days. Cracked and perished within weeks of being fitted.

Oddly....do you ever check your car tyres ?

The amount Ive seen over the past months with bad cracking is unreal. Even quality branded tyres !

9.85 @ 145mph
202mph standing mile
speed didn't kill me, but taxation probably will

Speaking to a couple of people who really know what they are on about, the problem stems from cheap Indian & Chinese production methods, and the total disregard of British Standards for rubber.

If the parts were produced to the relevant BS, then we wouldn't have this problem. The trouble is, the manufacturers make all the promises, and never actually bother to make them right.

Metric is for people who can't do fractions.

Yep, I am still seeing the same on all the rubber on my car. Looks like its all routine maintenance now *angry*

Is it A-Series only? I think it should be...
So when some joey comes on here about how his 16v turbo vauxhall is great compared to ours, he can be given the 'bird'...

New old stock seems to be the right theory, but the 'old' bit mixed with rubber will pose the same problem?
