NOM NOM NOM. I'd code her keyfob for free ANY day of the week.

She's got the correct hair colour. Next she'll discover the V5 is in the glovebox.

I shouldnt take the piss, I left my wallet and keys on an arcade machine once, with the car 2 floors underground. They sent two tow trucks which didnt fit in, this was on a bank holiday monday at gunwharf keys so it was heaving, 9 hours later they sent a flatbed which didnt fit, but he decided to winch the car up out the carpark from outside.

Luckily id left the boot unlocked and we put dollies under the front wheels and a land rover towed me out (turning on the handbrake) to the entrance.

They blocked off one of the toll barrier things to let me out, therefore gridocking the whole carpark somehow. Then while winching it up the towhook sheared.

All fun and games, then it was only £150 to get the a new key and the key itself coded.

Good times.

These new modern turbos with their quick spool up time, would make the competition harder.

well, its all sorted now, took her to a main dealer with all her Doc's etc,
key without a button, so its non-remote locking.....guess how much?
no need to take the car there atall,as its chipped and reprogamme's its self to work etc.

£23.68 inc vat
lol

remote one was £78

only thing is the alarm wont work until she gets a key with a button...

I wore both of the flippy bits out on my old a4. They are much cheeper (£60 springs to mind). Get a couple of second hand keys of ebay and just buy the flippy bit with the key new. They have to reprogram them anyway....

I was quoted £120 for the key plus 1hrs labour @£95 for programming from my local Audi main dealer; needless to say I've still only got the one key

I lost a key for my 2007 R56, Well, not really a key but a round token thing that starts the car and has an emergency door key inside. its a fancy remote thing that remembers your settings, Lights, locks even your preferred radio station, so when I plug in my last station comes up, my wifes key selects hers.

These keys are ordered from the dealer by VIN and come pre-programmed and ready to go, you just plug them in, no need for any car programming. cost was over $300!!

However.. if you want the lost/stolen key deactivated (probably wise) then the car does need to be reprogrammed at the dealer, If they are thieving Bastards like mine they will hit you for another 1/2 hour labor...
