not yet, i'm not very good with electric so waiting for kean to sort it for me when we get some time.

not going to attempt the memory option. drivers seat is just run off a battery at the minute.

nick did you chop the seat loom like we did to the drivers side?

yep, fitted a couple of those red/black plugs from work to the motor and heater wires to make connecting it up easier.

All the wiring sorted on the front seats now, first time i've ever had a car with posh seats and i fookin love em.

ordered 5l of paint off ebay the other day and it arrived in time for this weekend. Got a 1st coat on the interior metalwork that will be visible when the panellings done and i'm impressed with how well it covered considering i brushed it on.

me and kean have been busy again today, got nearly all the back boarded out. just 2 panels left to make for the sliding door and tailgate. Going to give them a coat of pva to seal em from any damp knackering them up, before i cover em.





deadline to have it sorted by is the riv run...

I like the dpm roof mate. I did the camper van thing with a old hijet it was cool.

bit of an update, using the bus for the riv run so gotta pull me finger out now and get it sorted asap. Here's where i'm up to so far with help from Kean..







this weekends progress. finished the frame for the units, wired the amps and the 240 hookup, made a tray and fitted the leisure battery next to the main battery in the engine bay started on the sides/top for the units.





also used the bonnet as a guinea pig for the roller painting to see if it would work ok before doing the whole van.

top work dude. How did the roller painting go? looks good in the pic.

rollering went on a lot nicer than i expected tbh.
Just flatted off the old paintwork then gave it a quick coat of paint, got a bit carried away on the 2nd coat though and tried to put too much paint on so you can see a couple of roller lines in it, Will flat it off again and try thinning the paint out a bit more when i do the rest.

Should work out ok for a sub £40 paint job

what are they like for maintainence? went things go wrong etc, easy to repair?

this ones a 2l petrol so finding any useful information on the engine is pretty tricky. I've got a cold idle issue at the minute which is doing me nut in and i can't find a diagnostic port to get it plugged in.

the diesel versions seem pretty good though i just couldn't afford one at the time.
