rule number one: drive it like you stole it! with that said, they are serviced regually, and at least you know that they are maintained well, which is more then can be said for most private sales..... Not by Enterprise they are IMHO they are unable to a) check the oil b) replace the oil filler cap correctly afterwards & c) if it does get serviced use the cheapest grade of oil possible (bit of an issue when you have a DPF fitted and need low ash oil!!!!0 On 5th Sep, 2011 Vegard said:

It will tow 900kg. Trailer plus Miglia = 850 kg The Gross vehicle weight of the new Fez is actually just a few kilograms less than the Focus at 1500kg. Thought you had bought a Minno = 380kg + what have you done to the Miglia to make it weigh 500ish kg? Though they were at least 550 at that age? You always need a little reserve when towing to make it comfy and not burn out the clutch! On 5th Sep, 2011 Vegard said:

can't you part ex the focus? I could, but I would only get half of what it is worth. I've booked the Focus in with my old mate to have the power steering fixed and try and sort the ESP. Then I'll try and sell it locally, then Ebay. Sturgeo is going to have the towbar transfered to his Focus. Order the Fiesta in the morning :) Sorted
That's took all day and I've got sod all work done because I could not think about anything else. Saul Bellow - "A great deal of intelligence can be invested in ignorance when the need for illusion is deep."

I'm sure most folks will treat a hire car with respect, but not young scallies. Until about a year ago I was driving about 20K - 30K a year in hired cars and the novelty wears off pretty quick, that said I had a lot of fun when I found an ST220 on my drive one morning. If I was buying an ex-hired car I'd think carefully about what car I went for and what type of people would have rented it, joe public tends to rent fiestas and corsas as they are cheap and I don't think they have the best of lives but I'm 99% sure that bigger luxuary car have only been driven on company expenses and probably had a very gentle life cruising along the motorway at a steady 90. Its exciting business when you are looking at getting a new car! I have done this recently. However now I am trying to sell the old one!

At least your Focus has some value. I need to replace the Xsara as it it becoming expensive and I don't trust it to get me to work. However at 8 years old and 200k on the clock it must be worth about 50p.
