Turbo timers are only really neaded if you stop after you have been leathering it and the turbo is red hot. The slow bit at the end of most journeys is enough to cool the turbo. agree with wil_h

Im with Steve & Wil_h on this one... in the mini and in my Golf I always take it easy for the last part of the journey which should be enough to suficiently cool the turbo, I would always as a rule use a 30second rule "leave any turbo car for 30secs ticking over before driving or turning off"...
