There are much cheaper ones on ebay etc, but I guess quality is linked to price.

I'll be getting a set when I get that far. Polevolt are now doing Ford replacement terminal pins, so it should be easy to get a bit more of an OEM looking install.

Back again !

Where does everyone mount their MJ unit ?

I have read that its not good to have it in the engine compartment because of dirt, vibration, heat etc.

But if I put it inside the car the tube for the MAP sensor is going to be long enough to have a pressure drop, I think ?.

No. There is no air moving through the tube so unless there's a leak or a kink in the tube it won't have a pressure drop. In theory, there could be a delay but at the speed of sound, you'd need to go around the car a few times before it would be significant.

On the Metro Van we'll be velcroing it on the left hand side of the glove box. On my mini it will be mounted under the dash, behind the centre switch panel where the heater should be.
