The quality of this forum is reflected by the fact I only have two bookmarks in my browser.

One is TM the other is Redtube and I only use one slightly less than the other. *hehe!*

The strange thing is, this site really helped me to build my mini, but now all it does is distract me from getting anything done on it! *hehe!*

Just my 2p, I've been on here a while now and still learning something new everyday, which is the point right, forums are there to ask your questions and get some help from someone with more experience. I'm loving the forum, without it my mini wouldnt be anywhere near as complete as it is, and you get to know the characters on the forum and expect certain replies from certain people, I dont mean that in a negative way.

I think I was jumped on a few times, but as I run my own forum I know how it works.

I think the main problem with this forum is the search facility. Its not the best at all but after a while you get used to it and learn how to get the results you want.

But as a newbie you might struggle to find what you want so ask your question (thats been answered a million times) and then you get a torrent of replies "use the search button". it probably only takes another 60 seconds at most for someone who knows the search a bit better to do the search and post that as a reply rather than just telling them to use the search which they have probably already tried.

on the subject of what the forum is missing i'd love to have teh ability to track a thread in your control panel. many a time there has been a post and i havent been able to find it again on the search becuase i cant flag it under my user to track.

maybe me being stupid here but when you search for a user it normally only brings up topics created by that person but can you search for them posting within a post?

I think clicking search withing post gets you that t@z.

I think that there are better forum engines out there but this one seems to work ok for most people. I know it doesn't cause me any trouble.

You certainly can if you use the combined keyword (and tick "in body of post") as well as the username when doing the search.

So as long as you can remember a suitably precise word/phrase from the thread as well as the user, yes.

That's how I find things I have replied to but didn't start.

I've never bothered with username alone as far too much comes up.....

Rod. Searching for usernames alone sometimes however yields some interesting threads.
