Colin is dead right large toothed belts do wine !!! normally when there viciously over tightened :)

Learn something new every day... But in the case of the discussion on TMF i'm amazed they put the source of the whine onto the belt... My boss has a 5.5lt Supercharged Merc CL55 AMG, and the noise is fantastic, i must say...
