infact when taken apart its an old metro engine which is nackerd, hasnt got a turbo head and the head is rusty as anything inside and had parts of what looked like red paint flakes left in the engine, crank need grinding, pistons had been cleaned in the engine by the looks of it but the gunk and shit that came off them has ruined the bores, basically its a nail.

fair enough you sold it to me as a non runner but it still should have the spec that you have stated it is!

engine has gone for a full rebuild now and rather annoyed at how i was lied to..

but i suggest you take the motor back , dont touch it get a refund and walk away,

its already at an engine builders and basically evry thing is being replaced
£2000 engine build, was thinking it would be alot less as some of the parts would have been re-used but that wasnt an option considering what was in it, we managed to use the conrods, and maybe the crank depending on whether it can be machined and repaired on the flywheel end where it wasnt lapped on and micro welded the flywheel assembly to the crank end in the past so it has buggered the crank end a bit. block is being reused (1380 bored), head is being reused but needs a very serious overhaul, gearbox is useable but not perfect (funds wont allow another one now tho) the housing near the starter motor has a chunk missing where someones obviously hit it trying to smash the flywheel off.

the cam is at the engine builders, it was a standard cam. we took it apart together (well i watched) and as thing where taken out he told me what evrything was and showed me what it should have been. so probably not much use to anyone as its standard

id love some money back but as for taking it back its not an option.
