TBH i was in roughly the same position before avon last year. As i lost all oil pressure just before avon and moved onto a GT17.

Do these cages tie into the subframe? or just the mounting point areas?

Im tryng to incorporate mounting points, front subbie to cage. working from a 6 point rollcentre.

Thanks for that Brett. Yes i had checked that site out. Just spoke to Dave Kimberly and he said Mike Race is the man to ask. Any pictures of the fixings and attatchments to the subframe and more of it on the car? Thanks :)

You just use 4 pieces of ally or steel angle which fasten to the outer edge of the diffuser , it then fastens to the lip of the subframe. You then rivett/bolt the flat end to the bottom of the car. I couldnt use mind as my car is massively low.

just a Q mike, not wishing to take up too much more space in ur topic. does Dave K only do diffusers without tunnels along the centre? and im guessing it doesnt ordinarily have the centre bit cut out.

Correct its a one piece affair, you have to cut it to suit.Dont be fooled into thinking this will just bolt on, you may to trim it suit your exhaust system! I had mine fitted for a while and the car some how felt less prone to moving around at high speed. I will be fitting it again in the near future.

Dave parts are rough and ready, dont get me wrong the quality is great and they are still a good fit but he doesnt go to massive lengths on finishes. Basically if youre going to paint it whats the point! This keeps cost down too. Well worth the price imo

It looks like youve cut the bit away between the tie bars

have you cut away the normal bit between the tie bar mounting points and fitted a piece of tube?

Yes there are 2 tubes that run between the points, this is what thw rad is attached to!
