Sturgeo has been investigating a data logging system that does not mean taking a laptop along for a ride every time and has come up with a dash/logging system that will dump data to an SD card. It will take all the MS data plus any other 0-5v outputs we wish to add. So that will get the second O2 sensor output directly.

I do have a setup that is almost ready that communicates with the MS on the CAN bus, will add many I/Os and will log everything on an SD card. There's more information here http://jbperf.com/io_extender/index.html (this will be updated shortly with the information about the latest board) and here http://forum.jbperf.com/viewtopic.php?f=9&t=8.

I'd be interested to see which one you're looking into because I think that my solution potentially offers a better integrated solution with more I/Os and should also be cheaper. There is a DIY aspect to mine which may or may not be an issue but that also offers more flexibility.

I've been doing a bit of digging on the MS forums.

A guy in Germany has been working on MS and traction control via an add on board for some time.

I'm not sure if this is going to be available as part of the MS code that has options for siamese port engines, but worth looking into.

Jean, that's very interesting.

Wil, you need to go on the MS Forums and PM a user. The post topic is "Traction Control Fuzzy Logic in C and Assembly".

Edit: correction.
