5kg out of the block V (I'd like to know how), doesn't state the amount saved from the box.

If something is worth doing, it's worth doing half of.

5kg out the block without a sweat, 2-3 out the box
on the inside of the block grind out the casting ridges and cast finish, polish it up similar to how the rods are done, large overbore, ( 1380 is almost 900g according to above) short hight pistons decked block to suit
same on the outside, casting finish ground polished, bore out the dizzy hole and plug with ally/ti you could even reduce the hight of the ridges,
there is probably more bits you could do i couldnt even dream off,

Yes i moved to the darkside *happy*

i have also fitted smaller wheels 10x6 minilights

was after a rear beam axle but chose not to as i like the standard suspension and not a fan of coil overs

was after fitting a curley carbon boot floor but the price is alot for me at the moment

make it a soft top? that will save weight lol

dont paint the car, paint weighs a bit *tongue*

pikey slicks! they will probably save you 4kg but will cost you if the cops stop you :)

post some pics of the car, will help have ideas on how to realistically save some more weight?
