I find on Vems, that if there is no TPS connected the voltage on the TPS 'signal' pin slowley climes to around 2v and stays there. It does not mean that it is wrong, but don't think that you should get a voltage.

Pin 3 is usualy the signal and pin 1 and 2 the Vref and GND, where if Vref and GND are swapped arond, the signal will work inversely.

Been out this afternoon and have found the following:

Readings taken directly from TPS rotating with a screwdriver: 0.48V closed to 4.71V fully open.

Readings taken from MJ connector using throttle pedal to rotate: 0.48V closed throttle to 3.66V open - suggesting TPS isn't being fully rotated but shouldn't be a problem should it?

Now a couple of questions; when the ignition is on but the TPS is not connected I'm getting 4.9V on the signal wire but when I connect the TPS this drops to 0.48V, does this sound right?

Secondly when I plug the laptop in the TPS dial works OK but when I change to the tuning map the bouncing ball moves, the rpm increases etc but there is a label saying TPS that doesn't appear to do anything. I kept my DVM plugged in and it was still going from 0.48-3.66V when pressing the throttle.

Schrödinger's cat - so which one am I ???

I drove the car for the first time in a while today and in 3rd gear, under hard acceleration at around 4k revs the rev gauge drops to 0rpm and seems to cut out. Then will just pick up all of a sudden.

This has been discussed here before but obvioulsy still have the problem, can anyone shed a little more lights or provide some tests to do.
