great car!
i used to live in town oposite from factory where was production line for austin 1300 too. that was in Slovenia 40 years ago.
many people do not know that austin 1300 was produced in ex Yougoslavia too.

In my book, it is nicer than the Golf as the Golf was "only scary fast"

This one will probably end up scary fast too but "for men" as it was not designed to go fast hence braking, shell strenght and other anecdotal features such as passenger protection are from an era where the drivers life was in the drivers hands ...

You got that right! Everyone that rides with me feels like the speedo is on 1/2 speed....as in it reads 50 but feels like 100!~*happy*

Not quite sure what this means.....

But to your previous post, I have not hit the dyno yet as the days keep slipping away. I was hoping to get the bottom end tuning just right before the session, but have been unable to accomplish this yet (mostly lack of time). I did get the car to the Mini Meet here in the U.S. in July and took Michael from Seven Enterprises for a ride....he said that he was very impressed and left with all smiles!

I do plan on some dyno time soon, but at this point, the shop that I will take it to is prepping for H20 Int'l at the end of Sept. (a huge watercooled VW show on the east coast) as they are mainly a VW tuner...
