ill try removing the bleed valve and blocking the pipe, but i dont think this is the problem now, but im prepared to try anything

without wishing to sound like a stuck record i'd check the fuelling just to rule it out.

check see what your fuel pressure is doing when the engine splutters, try pulling the choke out see if it makes any difference.

Yea i see your point ill defonatley plumb in a fuel gauge and see what thats doing when i get the spikes.

Iv not touched the mini for a while, but today i took it out and that problem was still there, so i took off one of my IC pipes so its was running N/A.

So i took the car for a 30 min drive and all was going well till about 5 mins in when i experienced the same spike again (although not as severe), and this happend again later on, so happened twice in 30 mins. So the spkis happen alot less with the IC pipes dissconnected although the issue is still there...

I really cant get my hear arrond this as how can there be getting a spike of possitive pressure without the turbo?
