Did you get sorted Steve ? you are correct an endcap let go on the rollers circa 6500rpm.... sent the end cap through the block where it joins the gearbox inline with the dizzy.... killed a full works Alden Dizzy, screwed my SC dog box casing and the piston went woosh into my full works Longman head.....expensive saying the car never made it to a race meeting by that point...... learned to used ARP rod bolts and center main straps after that psml.....

the pistons if i recall are either Hepolites or Cossworths cant remember, i do know they are no longer available.

The rods i cant recall were either S, Sprite, Or Midgets... they had the smaller Journals.
