Forgotten more than most ever know

TurboDave is right, check the box since it is separated from the engine. I thought that I had seen everything but the last box that I stripped had a maindhaft double roller bearing that was cracked across the outer race. I have seen the balls separated but never a cracked race ! Someone had grinded the race, my guess for clearance (?) and that`s where it had cracked. Diff is a lot easier than box itself and the box is relatively easy. Mate rebuilt his first box with advice over the phone.

Quality of spares is sometimes awful, that?s why I keep all the leftover parts from scrapped boxes. Have to say that stock is almost nonexistent, good boxes are locally hard to find.
