I think you will be surprised when you see the car in the flesh.

David is a modest guy and has not mentioned that he has made complete new front suspension with fabricated wishbones and coil overs, as well as 5 linking the rear axle.He has RS Turbo discs on the front, Mazda MX5 on the rear and you can see the paint job. However, you may have missed the subtle increase in the width of the rear arches,without tubbing or flares -he is a master of sheet metalwork.My car looks very ordinary beside his and he has won the modified class in our club International rally 3 times.I won in 1982 and in 2006 !

Thanks for the kind words Dave, only wish I was as good at sorting the engine as I am with the sheet metal. Never thought swapping a turbo would make so much difference won't tick over smooth at all.

Any ideas????????

We had a club member some years ago with a Rover v8 in a black A30(the earlier version). He had Cortina MK3 front suspension with Granada brakes(Narrowed) and Granada IRS (also narrowed)
The body looked standard, but he had a space frame/roll cage to take all the suspension and, apart from the alloy wheels, it looked very standard.He did lots of appearances on the drag strips and used to do massive burnouts, using a linelock on the front brakes . Mark Stecey, where are you now ?.

As far as I know he started up a buisness building hot rods and I spoke to the chap that bought the A30 off him last year at the pod he's now got another car built by mark but what it was escapes me. I beleive the A30 has now gone to the scrap yard in the sky!
