yes Stevie they are the fronts lol.

I think someone deserves a slap on the wrist !!!!

No way in hell would I be using solid discs. I had solids on mine and they were useless.
As soon as I could I fitted vented discs

But they stop ok Stevie, so I couldn't see how i would gain any thing? If i hit them hard i can lock them up. I don't do track days as such so no need for big cooling and vented i thought, your thoughts very welcome.

Less heat build up, so less chance of cracking lol

Nearly every car can lock the brakes, that doesnt mean they wont benefit from better brakes and cooling.

I can recall my old solids. One good brake from say 120/130 and they were pretty much done, even with the old M171 pads or whatever the Asbestos Mintex were back in those days.

I used carbon metallics on the vented discs. and they always braked very well. I never did track days either, but I really did abuse the crap out of the car when I was driving it.

I know it cost me very little to do back then, so I'd assume it's still very cheap these days ?
The biggest expense I had was fitting new stainless pistons to the 4 pots.

I have Cooper s brakes with slotted solid rotors and M1144 pads with the stock calipers. It feels like it's going to lift the rear off the ground when you stamp on them (obviously it wouldn't but they're pretty good) but if your a bit sprightly down a country road with frequent braking they will fade. That was with the NA 1275 too. I can't get any decent brakes behind the reverse rims though.
