Right boys how hard is this rts thing to do. As i was chatting to nic at the RR day about it and how much will it cost me lol. I have been searching on here about it but i am still a bit thick about it all. o yes so i can get what i need befor the vat free thing runs out. thanks simon.

its pretty easy,

drill out the rivets, tap the rivet holes M8, sort out some 11mm dia spacers the right length for your springs, bolt together.

i have done 3 so far less the cost of the clutch/flywheel assembly's less than 10 squid a pop
im stuck on this last one though ( the one im keeping) as i cannot find another with the same size drive straps :(

I think I will go the RTS route.
Is my conclusion from search correct that Valeo plates should give lighter pedal?
Are you conincidently planning on making some more sets for conversion
anytime soon?

I'd really suggest using the AP units, its much easier to do the converstion

pedal pressure wise, you can lenthen the verto arm a bit if the pedal pressure is too much.

How does the weight of a rts set up with ultralight verto flywheel compare to the weight of say an ultralight pre verto set up?

I suppose the weight is biased more towards the outside of the rotating assembly with the verto set up, but I'll not worry about that yet.

The verto's going to be heavier, as you are stuck with the cast part of the pressure plate.

however, I would estimate that around the weight of a normall light minispares flywheel and standardish backplate.
