Rick, is this something that you are seriously contemplating?

Eric, honestly im not sure, ive got 2 k1100 heads and would love to plan on turboing one of them for the spaceframe mini, but as everything thats gone on theres going to be loads of development in just getting it handeling etc.

The 2 ideas with the 7port is ive got a lovley one owner 1275gt at home that the 7 port would go in there nicley and have a good road car as i miss the sound of webbers.lol but then i also have the option to turbo it for the spaceframe at a later date or just have a powerfull say 1460 race style motor for the space frame, it just seams to be the better option at the moment than messing with the bike head.

Just need to get this opp out the way first.lol

I guess the main thing that I have found with mine is probably along the lines of what Vegard said about the ports being a bit too large for a motor under 1500cc....It definitely does not have the low end punch that my good 5 port weber 45 setup had. Top side above 3000 and it is happier than a pig in slop! I would say if you are looking for a track style car that will always be in the power at 3500-4000 at shift, then the 7 port could be a viable option with lots of potential....but for a road car in stop and go traffic or an autocross type car, a good 5 port is loads more fun.

But the dual webers do look and sound the part... *hehe!*

Why did you come to 32 chokes, with a max rev at 6500 sure you'll cure your low end with a set of 28's, 32's is what is used on my alfa twincam 2l....Certainly a good read on Webbers will light you.

Thanks Joe....I do have a set of the stock length as well, so I may do that now that major tuning is done. Main problem (even thought it looks like a huge gap) is that I would have needed to pull the carb completely off to fit the chokes as I was playing with that a bit...now that I have settled on the 32's, the longer trumpets would probably be good. Just need to figure some sort of filtration....

Have these on right now....

Hey Fab,
Tried a set of 30's, but it just seemed to take off of the top end and not help on the bottom side....although I may try them again since I re-adjusted the tappets a bit on the loose side that helped a few other issues.....

I tried 30's and they definately choked up the bottom end and top end. I run 32mm now after originally running 33mm for a while. Pierce themselves provided me with example builds all running 32-33mm chokes.

As per manifold....MED gave me the carb specs as well which called for 32's....seems to be the best compromise as far as the chokes go.

Weber chart quote a 30mm venturi to accord you 345cc barrel at 6000 rpm, when you tried them did you adjust fuel jet?
A 150 main one in this case (between 145 and 175) with a f11 tube and 200 air corrector? What are your setiings?
The general mismatch with a weber is going to wide choke wise.
Again my 2.0l alfa dohc only loose a little bit on top with a very strong middle with the same choke size as your...
