As Will has mentioned you still need to look at your needle valve and float. My carb has no float chamber venting as all the ports on the outside of the carb have been drilled tapped and plugged.
I allso suffered from fuel being pumped up through the jet and running down into my inlet manifold but this was sorted by a good clean and comparison to a few spare carbs I had per chance. any how my issues were solved.
Is it still pumping fuel up the jet?
