the discs are wilwoods, when I have to change them I'll find somthing cheaper off a production car and make a simpler "bell" On 28th Aug, 2011 Kean said:

Jim for good ally 4 pots check out MGF calipers - AP racing, made on the same line as Elise/vx220 calipers. My pad material choice for a track car would be DS2500.

kad do the k4 set up which are 10.4inch discs. but they cost quite abit. slightly off topic and back to the handling thing on 13's. bill richards has been playing with 13's for years and has now got his set up spot on! he has 9x13s with slicks and that thing handles like a monster! going round the outside of 700bhp skylines on tight corners. its amazing On 27th Apr, 2010 Rick.SPI said:

It's quite obvious that a wide tyre give more grip, but a Mini handles much better on 10" s.. On 13th Jul, 2012 Ben H said:

I was speaking to Bill about this on the weekend, and he agrees with Vegard and I, it does not handle as well on 13's out of the box, it is a bit of a compromise between grip and handling. The extra speed you can carry through the high speed corners should make up for it when it comes to lap times On 15th May, 2009 TurboDave said:

yer exactly. which in your case jim is what matters i guess. along with more grip and bigger wheels come bigger better braking so therefore maybe even faster lap times that on 10s? we shall see. but i think with the power you have 13's are a must. its an animal. you going to be going to lydden again next year at all? Theres the Jap off set wheels that will go over 8.4's They just stick the wheel further out to miss the caliper. I run a supercharger and I don't care the TB is on the wrong side.

There is an alloy remake of the old cooper s steelies that will go over the 8.4. but perhaps just use offset tricks as metioned above. I intend to find out. |

They've said they might not be available for a couple of months. On 15th Jul, 2009 fastcarl said:
